I was given the Compass Love necklace and pendant to review. My first impression that this was such a pretty design, with the compass points (including NNE, ENE, and so on) and with the heart and spiral in the center. On the back, the "Let love guide you." is a great way to go though life. On my pendant, it also has Alexa's Angels under this phrase.
According to the Alexa's Angels website: Let love and faith guide you through life with our Love Compass Necklace. Crafted of Rhodium/18 K Gold-Plated. Lobster claw closure - 16” with 2” extender. Reverse of pendant reads, "let love guide you."
Now, I'm not skinny at all, and I was worried about the necklace actually fitting me. I was quite happy that it did fit well, sitting comfortably on my collarbone. The necklace did not pull at my hair either, which is always a plus. All of the jump rings, connections, and clasp are good quality, so I can see this lasting for a long time.
When I received this on the 28th of January, I put it on, and had not taken it off since. There was a couple good reasons for this. First, I really liked this. Second, I wanted to see how it would wear; whether it would tarnish, the finish rub off, or would leave marks on my skin. It wore very well. The back of the pendant shows no wear yet, and the necklace is nice and shiny. The only issue I have is that the gold color on the heart has started to wear off. If you are dead-set on the gold heart, you may be disappointed, but for me, I would like it gold- or silver-colored.
I like that this is a simple statement, and isn't obviously faith-based. A person of any faith, or none at all, could be very comfortable wearing this.
